Pacy winger Ibrahim Kasinde‘s solitary goal helped Soltilo Bright Stars edge Busoga United 1-0 in the Uganda Premier League match played at the Kakindu Stadium on Monday.
The fleet-footed attacker dribbled and sped past three defenders before striking with his weaker left-foot on the edge of the box, past goalkeeper Andrew Ssekandi.
The result sent the guests to fifth on the 15-team log and drowned the day’s hosts into deeper troubles, as they have now lost three games on the bounce.
It also implied Bright Stars have picked four successive victories, after wins over Onduparaka FC (2-1), Express FC (2-0) and 2-0 over BUL FC.
On the other hand, Busoga have won just twice this season and have suffered defeat on eight occasions.
They’re currently stuck in 14th with only three points, having lost three more to hooliganism-induced sanctions by the FUFA Disciplinary Panel.
Busoga will be away on the 9th of December to second-placed Wakiso Giants FC, while Bright Stars will host the same side on the 13th at the Kavumba Recreation Grounds.
