Wakiso’s Kasule headlines nominees for November’s best

Following an excellent start to the season, Wakiso Giants FC attacking midfielder Ibrahim Owen ‘Baba’ Kasule has been nominated for the best player of November.

The promising talent netted thrice and added two assists in five games as the Purple Sharks won four of their six matches in a month to remember.

Kasule scored as his side drew one-all with Vipers SC, added another in a hugely contested 2-1 win over SC Villa, before repeating the feat in a 3-2 victory over Express FC.

Despite the impressive statistics, it’s his all-round performances that caught the eye more.

His ability to to use the ball, playmaking attributes and discipline gives him an edge over others.

Kasule will however have to fend off opposition from Soltilo Bright Stars’ Nelson Senkatuka and Gaddafi FC’s Alex Kitata.

Senkatuka scored five in as many games for the Mwererwe based outfit including braces against Express and BUL FC. His other goal came in a 2-1 win over Onduparaka FC.

Meanwhile, Kitata had an equally pulsating November as he netted five times in as many games, including a hat-trick against Bright Stars in Gadaffi’s 3-0 victory.

He also netted once against each of KCCA FC and Arua Hill SC to cap a splendid month.

The forward is currently joint-top scorer along with Vipers SC’s Yunus Sentamu and Senkatuka on six goals apiece.
