Ahead of their Uganda Premier League visit to Maroons FC on Friday, KCCA FC’s head coach Morley Byekwaso has made it clear his side can not afford complacency against a tricky team.

The Kasasiro Boys are on the back of an impressive 1-0 victory over defending champions Vipers SC, but this will be a test of its own, altogether.

“We need to respect and treat games differently because we are playing against different opponents,” said Byekwaso in a presser adding.

“Victory over Vipers was huge and important but that doesn’t mean we should get comfortable because Maroons is a stubborn team.”

The tactician also made it public knowledge he will not make changes to the team that won at home on Saturday against Vipers.

“Once a team performs, well there is no need to change it. So, there won’t be changes in a winning team unless there are players who are injured or on suspension.”

The Lugogo outfit will miss the services of prolific marksman Muhammad Shaban, having missed training this week due to injury.

On the other hand, Maroons come into Friday’s encounter inside Luzira Prisons off a 3-1 defeat to Arua Hill SC.

Coach Muhammad Ssenfuma‘s team have neither won nor scored a goal since their 5-0 victory over newbies Blacks Power FC on the opening day of the season.

The last time Maroons and KCCA met was in February 2020 and the Kasasiro Boys edged the Prison Warders 2-1 at Lugogo.
