Maroons took full control of the second leg inter-forces derby, beating Police FC 3-1 on Saturday at the Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.
The hosts started fast and made it count. Marvin Oshaba put Maroons ahead in the 12th minute, calmly finishing against his former club.
Five minutes later, Ivan Mayanja doubled the lead, giving the Luzira outfit a strong early advantage.
Police struggled to settle but pulled one back before halftime through Deus Bukenya, offering a hint of a comeback.
That hope didn’t last long. After the break, Brian Nkuubi restored Maroons’ two-goal lead, finishing off the game and easing any pressure on the hosts.
Maroons then managed the match well, keeping Police at bay to secure all three points.
The win lifts Maroons to ninth on 33 points, while Police stay sixth with 41.
