  • BUL FC 2-5 UPDF FC

UPDF earned their first away win of 2026 in style, thrashing BUL 5-2 at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru to boost their survival hopes.

The Army side were sharp from the start and took control early. By halftime, they led 4-1, punishing a BUL defence that struggled to cope with their pace and movement.

Coached by Alex Gitta, UPDF played with purpose and confidence throughout.

Emmanuel Ocen scored twice, while Rashid Farid, Enrique Lubwama and Ivan Bogere each added a goal to complete a dominant display.

BUL, led by Alex Isabirye, had no answers for most of the game. Their defending was poor, and they rarely troubled the visitors despite goals from Denis Ssewagudde and Hillary Onek.

It was UPDF’s biggest win since November 2021 and a timely one. The result moves them up to 12th on 20 points, five clear of the relegation zone. BUL stay eighth on 31 points.

UPDF next host URA, while BUL travel to face Express on Friday, April 24.

Elsewhere, Vipers SC kept top spot with a 2-0 win over Buhimba United Saints in Butema, Police FC edged URA FC 2-1 in Kiira, and UPDF FC finally picked up their first victory of 2026 in emphatic style, KCCA FC edged Entebbe UPPC 1-0 away from home.

Later Express FC will host NEC FC at the Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo at 8 pm.
