Vipers SC head coach Roberto Oliveira Robertinho has rallied his charges to work even harder for more impressive results despite an excellent run of form.

As they beat SC Villa 2-0 on Tuesday at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, the five-time champions were winning a fifth successive game, but Robertinho wants more.

The Venoms ascended to second on the 15-team log with 20 points in nine games following the result, where Yunus Sentamu was once again among the goals.

“We need to stay consistent and this is the most important point now and this is the message to my technical staff and the players,” said the tactician to the club media.

The Brazilian also reserved praise to midfielder Karim Watambala who came off the bench to score a belter in sumptuous fashion, to seal the victory.

“Karim has great talent, good Samba touch, and technique on the ball,” Robertinho said.

“He didn’t play the last game (against URA FC) because the pitch wasn’t good, so I waited for the next game to give him a new opportunity.”

The Kitende side is blessed with quality all over the park, and the Robertinho went on to justify the continued rotations.

“I always have to make changes and decisions depending on the situation for example today at 1-0, it’s a critical moment and it’s not good when you make a wrong decision.”

“I’m happy that we have a strategy for the first and second half. And, I’m very happy Karim came in and scored our second goal.”

The Venoms will take on Gaddafi FC in their next match at the Kakindu Stadium in Jinja, on Sunday.
