Soltilo Bright Stars FC has picked up three successive wins, and they have come at a time when their lead striker Nelson Senkatuka is enjoying a rich vein of form.
The marksman bagged a brace as his team beat BUL FC 2-0 in the Uganda Premier League, at the Kavumba Recreation Grounds on Tuesday.
“His performance was brilliant and the second goal is a dream to every coach,” a pleased Mwebaze said to the club media.
“Taking the ball with your back facing the opposition goal and then scoring like that is very brilliant.”
Senkatuka also hit two goals as they defeated Express FC 2-0 a week back at the Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku, taking his overall tally for the season to six, which is the most by any player
“The team is performing well but his goals are giving us the three points and, if we can keep him fit, he can even break the 10-goal barrier by the of the First Round.”
Bright Stars currently occupy sixth with 14 points in 10 games and the tactician has rallied his side to keep the focus to progress even further.
“We have to keep our feet on the ground and we shouldn’t be carried away by these wins.”
“These are games that we have worked very hard to win and we should continue working hard never mind who we’re going to meet.”
