It will be a battle of levels in the Stanbic Uganda Cup final when a Uganda Premier League side takes on a FUFA Big League outfit in Lira.

This was confirmed after the semi-final draws held on Thursday at the FUFA House, Mengo placed all-UPL and all-FBL pairings.

Two-time and 2020/21 winners Vipers SC, were paired against 2019 finalists Soltilo Bright Stars FC.

The first leg will be at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende between May 14th and 15th, before the second leg at Kavumba between May 20th and 27th.

Vipers dumped out Calvary FC in the quarterfinals while Bright Stars eliminated KCCA FC to reach this stage.

Meanwhile, Police FC will face off with fellow Big League side Adjumani TC with the former to host the first leg at Kavumba.

To reach here, Police eliminated holders BUL FC while Adjumani Town Council stunned record ten-time winners Express FC.

Vipers are the out-right favorites to win the Cup. They have reached two finals in as many years, winning and losing one apiece.

A Uganda Cup triumph gives direct entry to the continent; the CAF Confederation Cup.
