Vipers SC, the Startimes Uganda Premier League and Stanbic Uganda cup champions, have agreed a partnership with Wakiso Hills WFC.
The partnership is a requirement of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), which has made it mandatory that men’s teams must have women’s teams as part of the licensing regulations to compete in CAF tournaments.
Vipers SC will take Wakiso Hills WFC as its Women team with the share of 90% for all official engagements including FUFA, CAF and FIFA competitions.
The partnership is a major boost for Wakiso Hills WFC, who were promoted to the FUFA Women Super League for the first time in their history on Saturday 17th June after defeating Isra Academy WFC 2-1.
The partnership is a significant development for women’s football in Uganda, as it will give Wakiso Hills WFC the resources and support they need to compete at the highest level.
Vipers SC patron Dr. Lawrence Mulindwa is planning to build an adorable house for the women’s team.
Vipers SC will represent Uganda in the CAF Champions League 2023/24 after winning the 2022/23 Startimes Uganda Premier League title.
