- Maroons FC 0-3 Vipers SC
- URA FC 0-0 KCCA FC
Vipers SC are 2025/26 Uganda Premier League champions with one match-day to play.
The Venoms sealed their eighth league title on Tuesday evening with a comfortable 3-0 win over Maroons FC at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku, ending KCCA’s hopes of taking the race to the final day.
Knowing victory would secure the crown, Vipers started with purpose and were ahead inside the opening minute.
Milton Karisa’s effort fell kindly for Yunus Sentamu, who tapped home from close range to silence the Maroons faithful.
Maroons nearly responded when Ivan Ashaba set up Marvin Oshaba, but Kevin Dasyliva cleared off the line to preserve Vipers’ lead.
That moment proved crucial, Just before halftime, Usama Arafat doubled Vipers’ advantage with a deflected strike that beat the goalkeeper and gave the visitors control of the contest.
Maroons continued to struggle at the back after the break and Abdul Karim Watambala punished another loose ball, calmly firing into the net to make it 3-0 and put the result beyond doubt.
Karisa had a chance to add a fourth late on but failed to hit the target with only the goalkeeper to beat.
The win moved Vipers to 64 points after 29 matches and confirmed another title-winning campaign for the Venoms, who have now lifted the league trophy eight times.
At Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo, KCCA’s title hopes faded after a frustrating goalless draw against ten-man URA.
KCCA needed victory and a favour from Maroons, but neither arrived.
The match offered few clear chances in the opening half. James Begisa and Aliro threatened for URA, while Charles Lukwago was forced into important saves to keep KCCA level.
After the break, KCCA pushed harder and came close through Joel Sserunjogi and Ashraf Mugume, but URA goalkeeper Muhamad Ssekkeba produced two brilliant saves.
URA finished the match with ten men after Justin Opiro was sent off for a second booking late on, yet KCCA still failed to find a winner.
The draw left KCCA second on 59 points, while URA remained 11th with 28 points.
