Blacks Power FC part ways with seven players

Uganda Premier League side Blacks Power Football Club have had a massive exodus midway through the season, releasing seven members of their first-team squad.

The side, who are this season playing in the topflight for the first time, made it public knowledge that they had released a huge part of the team, including creative midfielder Bronson Nsubuga.

“Following the Player Assessment meeting held on 16th January 2023, the management in accordance with by club performance and ethical policies made the fundamental decision to release the players,” said a Thursday statement from the club.

Other players include; Faizal Muwawu, Baden Ogama, Francis Onekalit, Stephen Othieno, Ronald Musana, and goalkeeper Muhammed Ssekeba.

Blacks Power are two places above relegation zone as hey occupy12th on the 15-team log with 11 points.

They will seek to avoid the axe in the second round of the UPL, which is set to kickstart in February 2023.
