Tactician Brian Ssenyondo has left his post as UPDF FC head coach, having formally tendered his resignation on Wednesday.

The youthful coach joined the army side in July 2021, signing a two-year employment contract, but he has decided against renewing, thus departing.

“Please accept this letter as my formal resignation from my position as head coach of UPDF FC, effective from today 14th july 2023 (June 2023),” a letter seen by this website partly reads.

“I appreciate the opportunities for growth and development you have provided during my tenure,” Ssenyondo added.

Ssenyondo came in at Bombo as a replacement for former Uganda Cranes international Kefa Kisala, whose contract had been mutually terminated.

Known for his strong passion of nurturing young talent, a number of teams are closely monitoring the situation as they seek to snap him up.

However, this website on strong grounds, understands that it’s newly promoted side, Kitara FC that lead the chase for his signature as they aim at building a lasting stay in the Uganda Premier League.

FUFA Women’s Super League champions Kampala Queens are also high on the list of those interested in securing his services.
