Seven-time National Basketball League Champions, City Oilers glided past the JKL Dolphins in a 93-66 victory on Wednesday, at Lugogo.
The Oilers were inspired by a strong show from Ceasar Kizito who put up 18 points after a 7-of-13 shooting. Jimmy Enabu and Luak Ruai posted 14 apiece, to help their side to the win.
On the other hand, JKL Dolphins had Mabor Makor post 21 points and 12 rebounds. Ayiik Ayong and Derrick Katumba had 18 and 9 points respectively.
As the Dolphins struggled with a huge 32 turnovers and a disappointing three points off the bench, the Oilers managed a whooping 36 from the bench with only 13 turnovers, an indication of the difference in class and quality.
The victory continued to stamp the Oilers as yet again, the strong favorites to finish top in the regular season, despite playing two more games than second-placed UCU Canons.
The former now have an impressive 16 victories from 20 games. Meanwhile, UCU will play their 19th game against the stubborn Nam Blazers on Friday at Lugogo.
