During the intensified clash, Kyadondo SS overcame the giants of Buddo SS on penalties 4-0, that followed a 0-0 draw.
Now, the repeat for the fixture has arrived as both Wakiso zone representatives clash in the quarterfinal of the 2026 USSSA U20 Boys Football National Championship.
The clash is hoped to be in between the highly promising talents of Bashir Edema, the controller of the Kyadondo SS team on the pitch, and Geofery Nyonyintono, who guides Buddo SS’s attacks.
On paper, both teams are felt to be on the same level with the playing staffs; however, Kyadondo will be looking for their first semi-finals, having lost the last two quarter-finals they have reached in Masaka 2024 and in Ngora 2025.
For Buddo, they remain powerful on pedigree as they continue to defend the trophy they won in Ngora and as they search for their fourth trophy of the championship.
To reach this stage, Buddo SS defeated Kawempe Muslim SS, while Kyadondo SS overthrew Nkoma SS in the round of 16.
The other confirmed quarterfinal: Amus College will take on London College Nansana after overcoming Mentor SS and Mbale Progressive in the round of 16.
