The 2026 Inter Islamic Secondary School Association commenced with Day II that marked the start of sports activities held at Buziga Islamic and Theological Institute.
Greenlight Islamic Nansana kept perfect display to reach quarterfinal with 6 points from 2 games of the Inter Islamic Secondary Schools Association in Uganda group stage.
Group A
In group A, defending champions Greenlight Islamic defeated Rabiha High School Bombo 3-0 with Mark Dandali and Abdul Razak Irrankunda scoring the goals.
In their second game they defeated Ibun Kathir Islamic SS Buwambo 2-0 with goals coming from Tony Butungo and Elvis Kimuli.
In the other game of the group, Ibun Kathir humiliated Rabiha High School Bombo with a 5-0 win thanks to Pius Bukenya hat trick and other goals from Ayub Ismail and Jonathan Bbale.
Group B
In group B, Buziga Islamic at their ground they were held by Kasawo Islamic 0-0 before both teams defeat Top Times High School Kyengera 1-0 and 2-0.
As Kasawo Islamic SS reacting in the second game, Jerom Kakonge converted a penalty spot rewarded after Carlos Echiru went down in the penalty area in the first half.
To complete the group, Buziga Islamic and Theological Institute won 2-0 over Top Times HS Kyengera, the goals were scored by Emmanuel Nsubuga and Waleed Katende.
Group C
In group C, Madina Islamic SS Nsangi faced the most disappointing day falling to Dar Salaam 1-0 thanks to Arnold Wassajja while late in the evening again they fell 2-1 to Kampala Islamic.
Swamadu Tenywa scored for Madina while Akram Kigongo Adrabo scored twice to confirm Kampala Islamic SS repeats their last year when they eliminated them at quarterfinals. Madina Islamic only managed to defeat Bilal Islamic SS 1-0.
In the same group, Bilal Islamic SS Bwaise defeated Kampala Islamic 2-1 with Abdul Rahman and Steven Kule scoring for Bilal while Hashim Naminya also featured.
Dar Salaam and Bilal Islamic drew 1-1 with Ismail Kyazze in first half and on the other side Arnold Wassajja netted for Dar Salaam.
Qualified Teams
After groups, Greenlight Islamic Nansana, Buziga Islamic, Ibun Kathir, Kasawo Islamic SS, Kampala Islamic, Bilal Islamic, Top Times HS Kyengera and Dar Salaam reached quarterfinals.
