Highly promising midfied ancher man Bashir Edema took grabed a big moment in the USSSA U20 Boys Football National Championship first Quarterfinal as Kyadondo SS beat Buddo SS to end their title defense hope.
In a game played at Lira Town College ground, Edema scored the winner seven minutes to half time through a sportkick won by Joseph Kakooza who had been foul by Buddo SS Captain Dickson Baraza in the same moment before Goalkeeper Edrisa Waibi’s foul that costed thd penalty.
As the defending Champions walking to other side of the championship to participate in Classification 5-8, Kyadondo SS will play their first ever semifinal after over coming two consecutive Quarterfinal loses to reach the first ever FEASSA games.
The quarterfinals are commencing with Amus College School in action now with London College Nansan, after Bukedea Comprehensive will take on Masaka SS and later the record champions, the last year finalist St Mary’s Kitende will play Numasa SS.
Winners of the three encounters will join the first 2026 semifinalist Kyadondo SS in the semifinals slated for Monday May 18 and as well in representing Uganda at this years FEASSA games while losers shall join Buddo SS in the Classifications matches.
The semifinals shall take place on Monday May 18 ahead of the finals on Tuesday May 19 all at the this year’s host ground at Lira Town College School.
