In the morning and noon of Saturday, May 16, Wakiso Zone continued its dominance of the USSSA U20 Boys Football national championship with Kyadondo, Buddo, and London College Nansana all reaching the last 8.
Kyadondo SS from Matugga Kiryagonja won against Ngora High School, whom they beat 2-1 in a game played in the noon hours at Lira Town College.
The round of 16 clash was decided by goals scored by Ariene Odinga and Rafael Masudi in either half for Kyadondo SS, with Godfrey Kizza scoring for Nkoma in the middle of the goals.
With the win, Kyadondo have now reached a third USSSA U20 Boys football Nationals quarterfinal, and they have never failed to do so in all three times they have ever qualified for Nationals.
Earlier in the morning, Ambrose Aboyi with a brace inspired the tournament defending champions Buddo SS to a 2-1 win over Kawempe Muslim as they reached the last 8.

Elsewhere in the round of 16, London College Nansana defeated Mbale Progressive on penalties 4-2 after a 0-0 normal play, while Amus College capitalized on Ivan Otim’s superb freekick to defeat Mentor SS 1-0.

In the round of 16, Bukedea Comprehensive School South is taking on Green Light Islamic School at Lira Town College playground, and NUMASA S.S. vs Busia S.S. at Dr. Obote College playground, with the games ongoing concurrently.
Later at 4:00 p.m., Masaka S.S. will take on Lubiri S.S. at Dr. Obote College playground 1, while Madina Islamic S.S. will go against the record champions, St. Mary’s Kitende – Lira Town College, in the last two games of the stage ahead of the quarterfinal clashes on Sunday, May 17.
