The 2022/23 FUFA Women Super League champions Kampala Queens, have completed the signing of Rwandan striker Florence Imanizabayo.
The 25-year-old joins Kampala Queens from Rayon Sports Women Football Club, where she was a fan favorite for her technical abilities and scoring instincts.
Imanizabayo is known for her ability to score goals in bunches, having netted an incredible 68 goals last season in all competitions, helping Rayon Sport gain topflight football promotion.
She also helped Rayon Sports WFC to the Women Peace cup finals, where they lost 2-3 to As Kigali WFC on penalties after a one-all draw in normal time.
The striker played in both legs when her team Rwanda was ejected by Uganda in the 2024 Paris Women’s Olympic games qualifiers last month.
The Queens of Soccer have already signed Last season’s MVP and top scorer Shakira Nyinagahirwa, Hadijah Nandago, Samalie Nakacwa, Fazila Ikwaput, Catherine Nagadya, and Patience Nabulobi.
Kampala Queens FC are yet to unveil left-back Esther Namusoke who left Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC to join the Magogo owned club and is currently training with the team.
