Thirteen-time Uganda Premier League champions KCCA FC have announced the re-signing of roving left-back Mustafa Kizza.

Kizza rejoins his boyhood club on a six months contract that will run at least until the end of the season, following his release from Portuguese side Arouca CS.

“Kizza Mustafa is back at KCCA FC,” confirmed the club via their official website on Sunday.

The Uganda Cranes international left the club in 2020, joining Canadian-based Major League Soccer side Montreal Impact but things didn’t work out and he was laid off after just one year.

Following the Montreal Impact stint, he joined Portuguese Primeira Liga side Arouca at the start of the current season but he didn’t last there either.

He has been training with the Kasasiro Boys after he departed from Arouca and was involved in several pre-season friendly matches.

Kizza joined KCCA academy as a teenager in 2015 and featured for the Junior team in 2016 before moving to Maroons on loan at the beginning of the 2016/2017 season.

After his loan spell at Maroons, Kizza returned to KCCA in 2017 and played for the senior team for three and half years.
