After learning their opponents in group M, where Madina Islamic is grouped with Masaka SS, Kitgum High, and Lumino High in the USSSA Boys Football National Championship at Lira Town College between May 10th and 20th.

Madina Islamic head coach Hamza Katende reacted with anticipation for tough challenges in the group at their first appearance. “I understand we are going as underdogs because it is our first time,” he said.
“I understand we have a lot to handle as always at the beginning, and the fact is that every school that qualified can’t be judged on name; they passed through qualifiers, and they emerged zone champions,” he added.
“We don’t know much about the teams, but the fact is we are going there to fight and overcome game after game,” he last stated.
In the group, only Masaka SS, who finished seventh in the ranking, is the only school that participated in the last edition in Ngora, while Madina Islamic and the other two had to follow the championships from their respective homes.
