Following the draws conducted on Monday, April 27, 2026, at USSSA head offices in Kampala, Kampala Zone giant Nabisunsa Girls were drawn in group E against fellow big schools such as Seeta High School Main Campus and Gombe SS.
The five-team group is complete with St. Augustine and Harding Christian Academy, and heads to Seroma Christian High School in Mukono for games slated for April 29 to May 9.
Nabisunsa Girls is still standing among the top-rated schools for this championship, though they still have the task of breaking the barrier, which includes defending champion St. Noa Girls School, St. Mary’s Kitende, and Buddo SS.
Meanwhile, Nabisunsa Girls Coach Albert Aciko vowed to go to nationals and rewrite the story in Uganda Secondary Schools Girls Basketball, “For sure, this time our team is good and we are going to Nationals to compete and we are ready to take on any task.”
In the extension of the draws, last season’s winner, St. Noa Girls School was drawn with Tororo Girls S.S, Hope S.S.S. Nakirebe, Mbale S.S, and St. Michael High School Sonde in group A.
Meanwhile, Buddo SS was matched with host Seroma Christian High School in group C along with Sacred Heart Mushanga, Amus College, and Kisubi Mapeera, probably the group of death. However, last year’s finalist, St. Mary’s Kitende was grouped in group H with Great Aubrey Memorial, Iganga S.S and Naalya SS in group H.
