Towering striker Isiagi officially back at KCCA

Former Uganda U-17 forward Daniel Isiagi Opolot was unveiled as a KCCA FC player on Thursday, penning a two-year contract at Lugogo.

Its his second coming at the Omondi Stadium, having played for the 13-time Uganda Premier League champions between 2014 and 2016.

Upon his return to the club, he immediately looked back on the good memories of his first stint with KCCA.

“I am happy to be back at KCCA FC. I call this home because of the good memories I have had here before”

Isiagi was quoted saying by the club website.

“I won a league title with this club in the 2015/16 season and this was such a great thing. So many good memories I have with this club and I wish to add many more others.”

He added

Isiagi is the ninth player to join the Kasasiro Boys in the ongoing exchange market.

The others are; Tshisungu Kankonde, Moses Waiswa, Muhamed Ssenoga, Muhammad Shaban, Mustafa Mujuzi, Faisal Wabyoona, Saidi Mayanja, and Allan Enyou.

Morley Byekwaso who is the current KCCA head coach and Isiagi worked together previously at the now defunct Victoria University SC.

“I have worked with Manager Morley Byekwaso before at Victoria University and he is a fantastic guy.”

“I am looking forward to working with him again and learning from him,” Isiagi concluded.

Besides Victoria University and KCCA, he has also played for Proline FC and URA FC in Uganda previously.

While overseas Isiagi plied his trade with South African side Jomo Cosmos and Al Nasr in Egypt.

Isiagi has to fight for a starting place against; Kankonde, Shaban, Brian Aheebwa, Brian Kayanja, Charles Lwanga, and Sam Ssenyonjo, who are some of the forwards KCCA FC.
