Arua Hill SC needed a narrow 1-0 victory in a match played at the Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku, on Friday to extend Express FC‘s losing run to three games in the Uganda Premier League.

Before today’s closely contested encounter, the seven-time champions had lost twice on the bounce to Soltilo Bright Stars (2-0) and Wakiso Giants FC (3-2).

On Friday though, Isaac Ogwang‘s goal which came in the 14th minute also pushed further Kongolo’s perfect record over the Red Eagles to three games.

Previously, the Leopards beat ‘Mukwano Gwabangi’ 2-0 and 1-0 at Wankulukuku and Barifa Stadium in the first and second leg of last season respectively.

Friday’s result helped Arua Hill rise to the fifth position with 16 points after 10 matches, while Express dropped to seventh with 14 points.

Arua Hill will play hosts to BUL FC on Tuesday , December 6th in their next encounter, while Express will visit nemesis KCCA FC.
