Vipers SC will go for an immediate turnaround after their 1-0 defeat to Gaddafi FC when they face struggling side Onduparaka FC in the Uganda Premier League today, kickoff at 4:00PM.

Ahead of the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende encounter, Vipers’ head coach Roberto Oliveira alias Robertinho has rallied his side to use the Sunday loss as motivation for a big performance.

“Obviously, it was disappointing to concede an early goal and they made it difficult for us, they dropped deep and we had to try to penetrate for most of the game after that,” said Robertinho to Vipers media on Tuesday.

“We can take confidence from the way we dominated possession, especially in the second half. The chances will come. It’s not over, far from it,” the Brazilian added.

The Venoms lock-horns with a wounded Onduparaka side, that is yet to pick a win this season, lost six of their last seven games, and are at the base with two points from ten games.

Previously between the two, the Kitende outfit have managed seven wins and three stalemates in the last ten games.

At the same venue last campaign, the hosts beat the Caterpillars 1-0, courtesy of Halid Lwaliwa.

Vipers have confirmed long-term absentees Paul Mucureezi, Abdu Lumala and Livingstone Mulondo will continue to stay sidelined with respective injury layoffs.
