The Taxmen have completed the signing of custodian Yusuf Wasswa from Bombo-based side, UPDF FC.

Wasswa is expected to be one of the backup goalkeepers to their number one and Uganda Cranes goal-minder, Nafian Alionzi.

His immediate challenge however, will be to fight off competition from Hannington Ssebwalunyo for a second spot in the goalkeeping ranks.

At UPDF, Wasswa was an integral figure in the 2021/22 campaign, eventually managing to kick out experienced goalkeeper Brian Bwete from the posts.

URA continue strengthening ahead of a long 2022/23 campaign and have already signed James Begisa, Salim Abdallah and George Senkaaba.
