URA looking to turn fortunes as they host charged Blacks Power

Four time Uganda Premier League champions URA FC will be keen on making an upturn of results when they host rejuvenated Blacks Power FC at the Nakisunga Saza Grounds on Friday.

Placed a lowly 10th with 11 points, ‘Revenue’ has won just three of their 10 league matches and have lost thrice, picking up five stalemates this season.

The Tax Collectors haven’t managed a single victory in the last three games as drew 1-1 with KCCA FC and lost 1-0 to Vipers SC.

They then locked two-all with Maroons FC last time out. And, head coach Sam Timbe has called on his charges to fight to turn things around.

“We have to win our matches because we are slipping down and that’s not URA’s standard,” said the tactician to the media on Thursday, ahead of the match.

“We shall try to play well and as long as we convert our chances into goals, we can get good results and overcome this.”

“We have to put up our own performances and not compare ourselves to our opponents,” Timbe noted.

“Blacks Power has just joined the League and the players plus the technical staff we have are good enough to give better results than what we have.”

It will not be a walk in the park for the Taxmen as they face a side that has won two games on the bounce, including 3-1 and 1-0 victories over Maroons and UPDF FC respectively.
