Vipers Sports Club head coach is fully aware his contest with UPDF FC in the Uganda Premier League on Wednesday, at the Bombo Military Grounds will be as difficult as to hiss and yawn.

The army boys haven’t tasted defeat in their past four games, winning thrice and drawing the other.

This is inclusive of their spirited 1-1 display against KCCA FC in their last game, at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.

Currently, UPDF sits 12th on the 15-team log with 22 points in 21 games and six above relegation.

“It’s going to be a tough game, but we’re in a good place, we want to go there and be tough to beat,” Isabirye noted to the club media.

“We’ve got another opportunity to go away and try and build on our recent performances and try to get an away win. If we do, we’ll creep closer to where we want to be.”

Vipers sit third on the table with 32 points in just 17 games and are 11 points behind table leaders SC Villa, who have played 21 games.

“We’re getting players back from injury, the likes of Marvin Joseph Youngman, Miguel Lutumba, Siraje Ssentamu, and Karim Watambala, and they will be important towards achieving our goals,” Isabirye added.

The Venoms thrashed UPDF 4-0 in the same fixture in the first round, with Yunus Sentamu netting a hat-trick while Rogers Adriko scored in his own goal.
