Wakiso Giants FC sunk into deeper agony after their goalless draw with Gaddafi FC in the Uganda Premier League on Tuesday at Kakindu Stadium.

Following the dull stalemate, the Purple Sharks have now gone nine matches in succession without a win.

John Luyinda‘s charges have picked just three stalemates and suffered defeat on six occasions without registering a single victory in the second round of the season.

On an afternoon to forget, Wakiso Giants failed to create clear-cut chances as they lacked their most creative players including Hassan Ssenyonjo and Marvin Nyanzi.

Sharif Kimbowa, in the 37th minute, had his shot well denied by the hosts’ goalkeeper Chrispus Kussima.

In the 55th minute, Moses Aliro missed the target after being set through by the day’s captain Lawrence Bukenya.

Gaddafi also had Alex Kitata‘s shot denied by goalkeeper Bashir Ssekagya in the 67th minute, as both sides eventually settled for a draw.

Gaddafi stayed flat in sixth on the 15-team log with 29 points after 21 matches and will visit Arua Hill SC on Saturday at the Barifa Stadium.

On the other hand, Wakiso went further down to ninth with 27 points in 22 matches and will host Onduparaka FC on Sunday at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium.
