After a quiet spell in the ongoing transfer window, Vipers SC have finally confirmed Isa Mubiru as their first signing.
The five time league champions unveiled him on Tuesday, signing a three year contract from Uganda People’s Defence Forces Football Club (UPDF).
“Moving to Vipers SC is a big and important step in my life,” Mubiru was quoted by Vipers website.
āI am delighted to be joining Vipers at this very exciting time for the club. Iām looking forward to being a part of this experienced, dynamic squad as we challenge for honours next season.ā
At the unveiling at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, General Manager Steven Mulindwa noted that the addition is for the future.
“We are delighted Mubiru is joining us. He is a very talented player who was spotted and will continue to improve.”
“He increases our options defensively as we really needed another left back after Aziz Kayondo left.ā
His defensive attributes are also good, as he boasts strength and high energy levels on top of being a hard tackler.
Previously, Mubiru featured for Tooro United which he left for UPDF in 2020.
