Tornado Bees defeated Soroti City in one of their last weekend’s games of Match Day three of the Uganda Women’s T20 League.
With the big victory, the side’s title credentials will be on test again this Saturday when they face Jinja SS at Jinja Cricket Oval.
The students’ side will have to stop Tornado’s two big guns, and national team players; Patricia Malemikia and Shakira Sadick which is akin to an uphill task.
At Entebbe Cricket Oval, JACC will entertain wounded defending champions Soroti City at the shores of Lake Nnalubaale.
Both sides suffered defeats last weekend. JACC was put to the sword by ACC which was inspired by Pearls all-rounder Sarah Walaza (50 runs not out).
For any side to take the day, they will have to up both their batting and bowling game. Soroti is still at the top of Group A.
Elsewhere, Olila Cricket Club will be out for another victory as they face Wanderers at Lugogo Cricket Oval in the morning.
They dominated Pioneer last weekend at the same venue, winning both games to get off the mark in the season.
The former league winners were led by a Victoria Pearls army namely; Phiona Khulume, Marisa Ariokot, Lorna Anyait, Sarah Akiteng, and Jimia Mohammad.
The outing will witness two games; a morning and an afternoon encounter between the two teams at the three venues with a toss at 10 AM.
