Five time Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC have unveiled Marvin Joseph Youngman as their second signing in the 2022 transfer window, joining Isa Mubiru.

The versatile midfielder has signed a two-year contract, ending his two-year stint with Soltilo Bright Stars FC.

“It’s just an amazing feeling to be here at one of the biggest clubs in the country,” the midfielder noted, to the club media.

“Once you hear that Vipers SC are interested, there’s only one thought in your mind, which is to join them and try to be in and work hard for the team. Hopefully, I can help the team achieve more big things.”

According to the Uganda Premier League website, the 24 year old made 50 appearances over a two-season spell, scoring nine goals and assisting 12 times.

The midfielder who recently made his debut for Uganda Cranes at the AFCON qualifier away in Algeria will face stiff competition from the likes of Siraje Ssentamu, Bobosi Byaruhanga, Frank ‘Zaga’ Tumwesigye, and Karim Watambala among others.

Apart from Bright Stars, he has also previously played for Hima FC (Kasese), Busujju Ssaza, Bulemezi Ssaza, and Friends of Football Soccer Academy.
