The main fight of Uganda Boxing Champions League Week 16 had Ssali Wasswa (red) defeat Julius Kaddu (blue) in an elite Lightweight – 60kg contest stopped by the referee.
The outing also produced two split decision wins with the 3-2 Kemis Ibrahim (red) win over Bala Geko (blue) in the Youth Bantamweight – 54kg standing out.
The other had Abdul Semuwemba (red) claim victory with a 4-1 split against Kandi Melton (blue) in the Junior Featherweight – 57kg.
The boxing outing’s remaining two fights had Saudah Muhammed (red) convincingly defeat Babirye Mutebi (blue) 5-0 in the Junior Featherweight – 57kg.
The only blue corner victory of the day had Grace Nakinga register a 5-0 unanimous win against Maria Nassali (red) in the Flyweight 52kg.
Outside the ring, it was a showbiz affair with soccer stars such as Uganda Cranes defender Joseph Ochaya and fiancée Sarah in attendance.
The crowd enjoyed live performances from Coco Finger and a number of upcoming artists.
