Tactician Micheal ‘Skills’ Lukyamuzi has officially departed newly promoted side NEC FC leaving the club coach-less.

Lukyamuzi guided NEC to the Uganda Premier League in their debut season of the FUFA Big League, as they finished third with 57 points.

He made the revelations on Monday night, in what was not only an emotional farewell, but a statement that confirmed his reasons for the exit.

“As of today I step down as head coach of NEC FC, it has been really a great ride,” he said via his Twitter handle.

“Unfortunately or fortunately I am a CAF C holder and CAF A is a requirement in all professional leagues.”

“I am a great fan of education, please FUFA we beg for those courses to come,” Lukyamuzi added.

“Soon for the betterment of our football it’s been a journey of ups and some lows but at least I enjoyed every bit. Thanks NEC FC for trusting me with this role, the sky is the limit for this great club.”

The Bugolobi based side are already in search for their next head coach with Wakiso Giants‘ gaffer John Luyinda reportedly leading the race.
