The Uganda Premier League Secretariat has finally released the 2022/23 fixture, albeit, with 15 teams included instead of the usual 16.

This comes after Kyetume FC, who were supposed to make the puzzle complete, got relegated to the Regional League without kicking a ball.

They were sent down the ditches for failure to comply with FUFA Licensing requirements, with their appeal thrown into the bin.

The League will kickstart on Friday, September 30 with one fixture; Vipers SC against Soltilo Bright Stars.

The Kitende side will be hoping to defend a title they won with an impressive 74 points, 18 ahead of their nearest rivals, KCCA FC.

Meanwhile, the Kasasiro Boys will start their charge against Wakiso Giants FC. These two will face each other in a first game for the third time in four seasons.

URA FC, who is the other possible title contender, will host Onduparaka FC at Nakisunga Saza Grounds in their opener.

It is the first time in many years that a full fixture has been released by the League Secretariat.

The 2022/23 campaign will round off with seven fixtures on May 26th, 2023.
